MARIA THERESA RODRIGUEZ

Born in the MIDLANDS to an English mother and Colombian father, MARIA THERESA RODRIGUEZ spent the majority of her life playing/working professionally within the music industry until a chance opportunity in 2011 to play a Zombie in British feature film, Cockneys Vs Zombies unleashed a previously buried passion for acting.

Maria now has a plethora of great roles under her belt including works such as recent award winning short film "RUBY" and works with award winning writer & director David Yorke.  She is currently preparing to start work on a Steven Murphy feature scheduled for production this spring.

Not just limited to screen, Maria is no stranger to walking the boards both in straight theatre and musical theatre having performed in such productions as Fiddler on the roof at The New Alexander theatre, Birmingham and the lead role of Liz Henshaw in Stephen Greenhorn's "Sunshine on Leith". Maria is currently in rehearsals for a modern adaptation of Derek Benfield's comedy, "Caught on the hop" playing dry witted housewife, Maggie.

Drawing on her own life experiences enables Maria to delve deeply into a role portraying the character with a realistic and natural performance.

Maria is also a professional DJ, Guitarist/singer/composer MeMe Detroit, promoter/CEO of company & record label SoulRock Central and a qualified hair stylist
