EVI STAMATIOU

Evi is an award winning, London-based established actress, writer and director that has presented her work in Greece, United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, South Africa, Brazil and the United States.

Among other projects, in 2016 Evi collaborated with Fanny Pack Theatre (commissioned to write and direct their first show Day Job, which won 4,5* reviews) and ArtReach (conceived and directed the performance #refugeeswelcome as part of Journeys Festival International 2016).

 She is currently a Lecturer in Musical Theatre at the University of Portsmouth and a Fellow of Higher Education Academy. Previous teaching allocations include Bath Spa University and University of Surrey (GSA). She worked as a visiting lecturer at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (MA Actor Training) and University of East London (MA Acting and MA Directing). She is a PhD Candidate at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

Evi is a Creative Lab Associate to the New Theatre Royal Portsmouth.

Upcoming projects include workshopping a new play, post-production of the short film Kaltrina, the development of two new musicals and a new solo show that involves new technology on stage. Currently Evi is directing The Great Big Beautiful Sky at C venues, Edinburgh Fringe, produced by C theatre and in association with New Theatre Royal and the University of Portsmouth
