Sherwood Alexander shines a Light on Suicide!

Suicide2.png

Cryptic title? Let us help you out.

RD Casting's talented Sherwood Alexander is currently rehearsing for the London Premiere of Suicide where he will play the character of Light, the positive side of conscience.

SherwoodAlexander.jpg

Fresh from an acclaimed run at the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Suicide has been reworked for its London premiere at The Other Palace.

John is a typical man, with a typical job, living his very typical life, but when things start to take a turn for the worse John isn't sure what to do. Can he continue with a life of deja vu and disappointment or is the only option to end it all once and for all?

Told through a contemporary score by Robert S J Lucas and with direction by Michael Davies, Suicide is a roller coaster of emotions guaranteed to make you think about the very real modern issue of male suicide.

To make a stage piece out of this kind of material is challenging. So is being the only one on stage throughout. Temel is to be commended for her creative support for a cause of justice.

Kate Sketchley appears in the all female production of The Tempest

That's right, you read correctly, an all female production of The Tempest and RD's very own Kate Sketchley is appearing in it!

KateSketchley.jpg

Just how well does this idea work in principal, well check the reviews here:

A story of treachery, ambition and love, The Tempest is a play that requires close attention. Prepare to enter Prospero’s illusion that “We are such stuff that dreams are made on” to be compensated with a beautiful tale, played by a wonderful cast.
— The Upcoming
A strong and supportive cast each had moments of sparkling stage presence, and director Dylan Lincoln clearly cares about the importance of Shakespeare’s carefully created characters. It is well-worth a watch.
— The Spy In The Stalls
